I have pretty recently actually started playing games regularly, and before this I would play a video game once in like a four-five year period. I didn’t grow up a gamer, but have grown an appreciation for different games. However, I still don’t have the hand-eye coordination for gaming, so these gateway games are certainly for others that lack this special skill.
Golf With Your Friends
This is the easiest game to play of the choices, because you only need your mouse to play. And the concept is certainly simple; it’s just golf. What makes the game fun is playing it with friends and adding the different variants, such as pucks, low gravity, jump, and collision. The game is currently $5.99 on Steam.
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Ultimate Chicken Horse is a party platformer, where you build the platforms and traps to try and reach it to the flag on the other side before your fellow players. The game descriptions literally says “screw your friends over, but trying not to screw yourself”. It’s very fun and funny to play, with not many keys to master. I tend to play the trapper, where my goal is to prevent everyone from getting to the end, which makes it super funny. This game is $14.99 on Steam.
ShellShock Live
ShellShock Live is a multiplayer strategy game, where you play as a tank and try to blow up other tanks with different types of shots. You can play as a team or in free-for -all. The mechanics are easy enough to learn, and the game has a training section in case you want to practice. ShellShock Live is currently $6.99 on Steam.
Town of Salem
Town of Salem is a strategy multiplayer, where you get assigened a random chcracter and have to accomplish the goal of that character. You can play a town member, like a Doctor or Jailor, or be a member of the Mafia or a Serial Killer. In other game modes, you can be a Vampire, Witch, and Werewolf. It’s really easy to play, with it just being typing and clicking a mouse. Also, you can play it for free! Or you can buy an expanded version for $4.99 on Steam, but I just play for free here.
What games have you enjoyed playing recently? Let me know in the comments.
