When I was coming up with topics for posts, I was also in the process of going over a lot of the games I have and realized that, although we proudly share the games we love, there is probably some opinions or thoughts we have that we don’t share. So I decided to write up a gamer confessions tag, focusing on video games, as a more fun way to share what we maybe don’t talk about as much as gamers.
A game everyone loves that you can’t stand
I really, really, really don’t like Battle Royale games, like PUBG and Fortnite. I don’t like playing and I don’t like watching them. No matter what new one comes out, I don’t like it 95% of the time.
A game that you love, but no one else seems to
My favorite game is Armello, and while I know it is a well-loved game by its fans, I want it to be more well-loved. The devs are great and the game is wonderful.
An older game you haven’t finished, and probably never will
I probably won’t finish XCOM 2 if I am honest. I got stuck on a more difficult mission and honestly haven’t touched the game since.
A guilty pleasure game
Roller Coaster Tycoon when I got it from the Steam Winter Sale. I played a lot of it already, almost too much if I am honest.
A game you really love but haven’t played in a long time
Probably would have to say XCOM 2 again, because I really like turn-based strategy games and did really enjoy the game.
A game you never play seriously but others do
Back when I played Dead by Daylight more often, I’d play with friends and of course, when you play with friends it gets goofy and silly. So many people play that game so seriously.
A game you completed but hated it by the end
So I should be notoriously known as the gamer who never finishes games. The closest I can come to this one is ABZU, which I didn’t hate, but I didn’t necessarily love either.
A game you thought you’d enjoy, but didn’t
I got Paper Dungeons, which is like playing a DnD campaign in a video game by yourself. I thought I’d like it because it is similar to other games I enjoyed, but I ended up quitting after 20 minutes and haven’t touched it since.
A game you didn’t think was for you, and then loved
Dead by Daylight is not a game I would ever choose on my own. I found it from watching Twitch streams, and have been following the game since it was in Beta. Multiplayer horror is not my game of choice, but I really enjoy DbD.
A game you are still excited for that hasn’t come out yet
The Last of Us 2 is one I am looking forward too. I am also looking forward to the third Tomb Raider game in the recent reboot.

I haven’t written on my blog in over a week as I’ve been dealing with life things but finally, things have settled and I can get back to blogging again.
