Of course, as someone who enjoys board games, I’d love to spend the day about love playing some with a loved one. So here are some suggestions for games you can play with your partner this Valentine’s Day.
Fog of Love
Fog of Love is a two-player game where you will create and play two vivid characters who meet, fall in love and face the challenge of making an unusual relationship work. Said to be like living in a romantic comedy, this game is great if you’re willing to role-play a little with your partner.
Love Letter
Maybe your partner isn’t the biggest board gamer ever, so you need an easy and quick game to play. Love Letter is just that, as you bluff each other while trying to figure out who has been sending love letters to the princess. Best of 7 rounds wins, and a full game can be played in under 20 minutes.

Forbidden Series
If you’re feeling like you want more of a cooperative game night, the Forbidden series offers a variety of themed games that are all you vs. the game. They are a challenge, so it’s best to play this with plenty of time to commit. Plus it will be fun to see if you and your love can escape the desert, or the island, or the skies.
Council of Verona
While Romeo and Juliet may not be the happiest of endings (it is called a tragedy for a reason), you can still feel a bit of their young love through playing Council of Verona. In this competitive game, you and your partner are playing various characters to the council or in exile to complete various tasks on the character cards. For example, on Juliet’s card, she wants to be on the same side as Romeo, regardless of the side. Whoever has the most points from completing tasks wins.

The Lady and the Tiger
The appeal of The Lady and the Tiger is the variety of game modes in a single set of cards and tokens. There are 5 modes total, with 4 of them being playable with two players. So you and your SO can play multiple of games with just one set, thus adding variety to your game date night.
