We’re talking about conventions for today’s post for the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge!
Just as a reminder, the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge is all about what makes you geeky, from fandoms to hobbies, favorite characters and more. I’m going to do this challenge along with my regular schedule of posts, so there will be tons of content from me this month! Thanks to Megan at A Geeky Gal for creating this!
Day 3’s question is: What was your favorite convention experience?
I haven’t been to many cons myself, only three times. But of the three, one does stand out for having the most memorable experiences overall and that is PAX Unplugged.
I choose PAX Unplugged because I wasn’t just an attendee, but I was working at a booth demoing games. I was helping Weird Giraffe Games demo Fire in the Library, an awesome game about saving books from a burning library. The game sold out at the con too which was so awesome to be a part of as well. It was such a unique experience to be able to work a convention versus simply attending and I’ll never forget this experience.
So that is my favorite convention experience! The other two conventions I have been to were both Twitch Cons, one in 2016 and the other in 2018. I would like to attend more cons in the future, particularly Gen Con.
