Video Games for Ravenclaws

About a year ago I did a series on board games for the different Hogwarts houses. Now I am going to do the video game version. And I have to start with my personal house, Ravenclaw!

Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders

For the intelligence side of a Ravenclaw, mystery and detective games are right up their alley. And while there are tons and tons of these games, I went with Agatha Christie- The ABC Murders. Really any of the Agatha Christie video games are a great choice, with my personal favorite being Evil Under the Sun. The ABC Murders is the most recent which is why it is the particular one referenced. They are full of mystery and having to put the clues together correctly in order to accurately solve the case. It doesn’t hurt that they are based on books either.

Megaquarium

Ravenclaws are creative ones, and being able to create things however we’d like is a bonus when it comes to games. I went with Megaquarium on this because you get to create your own aquarium, but it still takes thought and knowledge to do it right. It blends both creativity and intelligence into one game.

Oh…Sir!! The Insult Simulator

Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure, and Oh…Sir!! The Insult Simulator is the wittiest game I could think of. It is a game of insults, where players have to combine words and phrases to make the ultimate insults and defeat their opponent. Wit is a prerequisite for this game practically.

Sid Meier’s Civilization series

Strategy games are essentially the perfect genre of games for Ravenclaws. And the epitome of strategy games really is the Civilization series. These games take a ton of thought and planning to be able to strategize against opponents. I also find them surprisingly educational as well.

So that is my list of video games for Ravenclaws! What would you have included on this list?

If you want more recommendations, Hannie at The Hannie Corner also did this back in February so read hers too!
