It is the final day of the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge! And today’s question is a fitting end where I talk about my most loved and obsessed over fandoms.
Just as a reminder, the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge is all about what makes you geeky, from fandoms to hobbies, favorite characters and more. I’m going to do this challenge along with my regular schedule of posts, so there will be tons of content from me this month! Thanks to Megan at A Geeky Gal for creating this!
Today’s question is: Most obsessed-over fandom?
I am very much a phase geek where I am deeply obsessed with something for a chunk of time and then move on to something else for a chunk of time and the cycle continues. It does rotate through my most favorite fandoms, so really it is just me subconsciously remembering how much I love something for a while. And you can definitely tell which phase I am in or have most recently been in based on my posts and what topics come up more often than others at a certain time. So I’ll briefly talk about the most common phase fandoms I have.
Disney Theme Parks
My biggest love for Disney is honestly with the theme parks. I love Disneyland, I love learning the history behind the parks, I love hunting for hidden mickeys, and seeing all the new and special stuff they do. And when I am in my Disney Parks phase, I am in it deep.
Broadway Musicals
When it comes to the general geekdom, broadway and musical theatre is a very small niche honestly. So of all my fandom phases, this one looks the most random. But I’ve been connected to musicals and theatre for a very long time because of being a dancer through my first 18 years of life plus my brother being very connected to theatre himself. My broadway phase usually happens because I find a new musical that I love. I am currently in this phase after finding Hadestown and Six recently.
Harry Potter
Harry Potter was my first fandom and will always be beloved. I rarely phase into Harry Potter obsession anymore, but I’m still always connected a little bit and see what is going on with the wizarding world. I’m never shy with my Ravenclaw pride and always pretty open to talking about what I love from this series.
Board Games
I do really enjoy board games and tabletop as a whole, but I definitely have my phases with it. My board game phase is best identified with me playing more games and hunting for new ones and browsing Kickstarter. It’s been a while since I’ve been in a board game phase, mostly due to not having the time for it.
Video Games
There are definitely times where I am more interested and invested in video games than others. This also comes done to time usually. But when I find a game that I adore, I am so invested in playing that game.
Make sure you go an check out A Geeky Gal’s post for this question too!

I’m definitely a phase geek too! Thanks so much for participating, Michelle! ❤️❤️❤️
So this list was basically me minus the Disney Theme Parks. I just want to go once and I learn of new rides when everyone else does haha.
