Planning to spend your Halloween with some friends or family? Why not coordinate for some great geeky group costumes! I’m suggesting some good trio, quartets, and large group ideas to fit any groups needs.
Trios
Harry, Ron, and Hermione
This is probably the most obvious suggestion, but Harry, Ron, and Hermione make a great trio costume idea. And there are options from school robes to hunting horcruxes to the Yule Ball.
Mario, Bowser, and Peach
Probably the most famous trio in gaming, Mario, Bowser, and Peach would make a fun trio costume. Plus you could really get into character with some antics if you see fit. You can also mix in other Mario characters if needed with bigger groups or to mix up the trio.
Sanderson Sisters
Hocus Pocus for Halloween is a must, so why not get a trio together to become the Sanderson Sisters for Halloween. This would also lead to some opportune antics as well.
Mikasa, Armin, and Eren
If you’re way more into anime, these best friends from Attack on Titan are an excellent trio as well. Plus if you want to feel super badass, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin fit the bill. And if you love this idea but have more than three people, there are the other members of the 104th training corps or you could add Captain Levi and Hange.
Quartets
Hogwarts Houses
Whether you just go as students in each house or as the house founders themselves, this group idea is great for any Potter-loving quartet. You could also do the house ghosts if you wished.
Mystery Incorporated
Why not be the mystery-solving gang of Scooby-Doo for Halloween? This is even better if you have a dog along with your group to be your own Scooby. No dog? No problem these 4 characters are iconic on their own. And you can always bring a stuffed pup along too.
The Surviving Starks
Return to Westeros as the Surviving Starks this Halloween. This is great for the Game of Thrones fans, regardless of how you felt about the final season. Plus it is more relevant since the series did just end this year.
Larger Groups
Sailor Scouts
This is a classic large group costume idea honestly. It is not only great for cosplay at cons but can also be a fun group costume idea on October 31st. This is definitely great if you’ve got an all-girl group to celebrate the spookiest night of the year.
Clue
Whether you use the movie as inspiration or just interpret them yourself, the Clue characters are great for larger groups. And there is a lot of fun you can have with this idea, especially with your own interpretations. And it is a good excuse to get glamorous.
Dead by Daylight Characters
With Dead By Daylight, you have a ton of options for all kinds of group sizes and demographics. With 5 people you could do 4 survivors and 1 killer, like a game of DbD is set up. With 6 you could do 3 survivors and their matching killers, like Nea and the Nurse, Feng Min and the Doctor, and David and the Huntress. With 19 survivors and 17 killers, the combinations are endless!
