Let’s get nostalgic with the nostalgia tag! I found this tag while perusing We Heart It and decided it would be a fun one that is perfect for the blog.
Favorite childhood Disney princess? (Has it changed?)
Ok I’m going to be a nerd for a second. There are two kinds of Disney princesses in my mind: one being the ones who are officially coronated into being a princess at a Disney park (these are considered the official princesses by Disney) and the other being characters that simply have princess in their name. Most are both, but some are not.
So for the officially coronated ones it is Mulan hands down always and forever. And for the second one (which Mulan doesn’t fall into thus why I am making a big deal about this) is Moana.
Favorite childhood movie that you still love?
Most Disney movies, The Thief and the Cobbler still holds up, and so does The Road to El Dorado.
Favorite childhood snack/candy? (Has it change?)
As a kid, I was a chocolate fiend. I have toned this down, but I still have a big sweet tooth for chocolate.
Favorite childhood toy?
Is it really corny if I just said imagination? I can’t think of any physical toys that were favorites enough to leave an impression. But my brother and I had all sorts of fun times and adventures with our imaginations.
How did you meet your childhood best friend? (Are you still friends?)
There are very, very few people from my childhood that I still talk to. I occasionally interact with my Kindergarten/Elementary School best friend. I would say my high school best friend and I are still friends and we met doing color guard.

What TV show did you watch after school?
Kim Possible.
Is there a song that reminds you of your childhood?
The music from The Nutcracker (odd I know). I’ve been dancing since I was like 5 years old and have done many, many renditions of The Nutcracker so that music takes me back.

What book/movie/TV show character did you relate to most when you were younger?
I’m not sure I really had one. The only one that comes to mind is Mulan because I related to her independence and doing what’s best despite it being defiant of tradition.

Who did you admire most when you were younger? (Real or fictional?)
I honestly don’t remember. Best I can think of is Hermione.
What’s one thing you wish you could bring back from your childhood?
Not having adult responsibilities

I’ve never seen The Road to El Dorado but I want to! I love Mulan. Oddly enough, I watched SO little Disney growing up that I didn’t have a favorite Princess until I became an adult! Now it’s Rapunzel. 😀
Rapunzel is a great princess! Definitely one of my favorites as well.
