March Madness: Video Game Bracket

Since we are in March, which is known for it’s Madness to happen, I decided I wanted to make a nerdier version for myself. So welcome to my March Madness! And our first bracket set is for video games.

So what I did for this bracket is choose eight of my favorite video games and used BracketHQ to create my brackets, randomizing how the pairings were made. From there, I made my choices. So let’s begin!

Round 1

Roki vs. Armello

Roki is a beautiful game and I will definitely recommend it to other gamers. Armello ultimately wins for me because it is a great combination of game elements I enjoy. Turn-based strategy digital board game is the most perfect game for me.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons vs. Frostpunk

Frostpunk is another good example of the types of games I love. But the pure joy of playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons won this match. I can’t ignore the 300+ hours I’ve put into AC:NH.

Dead by Daylight vs. GRIS

Dead by Daylight is one of my favorite games and one I still actively follow in many ways. But GRIS is just unforgettably stunning. A gorgeous game deserves this win so to GRIS it goes.

Night in the Woods vs. XCOM2

Night in the Woods is a game high on my list of favorite games. However when it comes to a game I’d play multiple times, that goes to XCOM2. So XCOM2 is the winner here!

Round 2

Armello vs. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Both of these games are at the top of my most played games list. Armello beats AC: NH here due to it being the most perfect game for me.

GRIS vs. XCOM2

These games are so different from one another. Of the two, I absolutely adore and gush about GRIS way more than I do XCOM2. So GRIS takes this one.

Final Round

Armello vs. GRIS

This was hard. Both of these games are so lovely from their art to the music to the gameplay. Ultimately Armello takes the crown for it’s replay ability and being my favorite mechanics of the two.

And now for the final break down!
