It is the loveliest time of year and with the day of love just a few days away, I’m sharing some K-Pop you’ll adore and can add to your Valentine’s playlist.
Serendipity by Jimin (BTS)
One of my favorite songs of all, Serendipity is a perfect romantic song to add to your playlist. Jimin’s angelic voice singing so softly about the sweet serendipity of finding your soulmate is quintessential love song.
Ready to Love by Seventeen
On the upbeat end of the spectrum is Ready to Love by Seventeen. It’s all about falling for a friend, saying you’re ready to love them and hope they love in return. It adds nice variety so not every song is a ballad.
Someone’s Someone by Monsta X
Monsta X has a whole album All About Luv that covers all aspects of the adoring emotion. Someone’s Someone is about the desire to find your one true love, your “someone”.
Feel Special by Twice
Now something from the ladies. Twice has many wonderful love songs and one of my favorites is Feel Special. We all want someone to make us feel special, and that is what this song is about.
Heartbeat by BTS
Another beautiful love song from BTS, Heartbeat is a song about fate and destiny drawing you to a person. This powerful song of love is perfectly filled with emotion and longing.
Love Me Now by NCT127
Another dance song, Love Me Now by NCT 127 adds a nice brightness to your playlist. Lyrically, it has more longing than requited love. It’s along the lines of Heartbeat and Ready to love.
Dahlia by (G)I-DLE
In floriography, Dahlia’s represent a life-long bond and commitment. (G)I-DLE interpret this in their song named after the flower, singing about how all-consuming this amount of love feels like.
I LOVE YOU by Treasure
The title alone shows how fitting for Valentine’s Day this song is. It is an energetic track about how it feels to be in love, similar to Ready to love.
My Universe by Coldplay and BTS
This collab between BTS and Coldplay earned a Grammy nomination, and should earn a spot on your love-filled playlist. It has a magical quality and a feeling of sincerity as these artists share their soulmate-like love.
Darl+ing by Seventeen
Darl+ing is a plea to get back together with your love, feeling genuine as they do so. The gentle tone of the song makes it an appealing addition, and you hope they get their person back.
Love So Sweet by Cherry Bullet
Cherry Bullet shares how sweet it feels to fall in love with this song. It’s a simple yet addictive baseline topped with relatable lyrics.
Magic by TXT
Love can feel magical, and that is exactly what TXT shares in this upbeat song. They encourage finding love again, “take a chance” after being brokenhearted, and you can’t help but want to with how bright and optimistic this song is.
Rock with you by Seventeen
Seventeen really are the kings of love songs it seems, and Rock with you is another example. Love makes you want to do everything you can with who you have fallen for, and that is with Seventeen expresses in this upbeat song.
