It has been a minute since I’ve had to make some touch choices. Time to save and drop some more same title K-Pop songs!
All In by Stray Kids vs. All In by Monsta X
In general, I listen to Stray Kids’ much more often than Monsta X’s. I like both of course, but there are other Monsta X songs that I like more than All In, while Stray Kids’ All In is one of my favorites. So I’m saving Stray Kids’.
O Sole Mio by SF9 vs. O Sole Mio IZ*ONE
They have a similar sound and vibe, so it’s kind of a toss up. I’m going to save SF9’s though since I’d more likely listen to it again over IZ*ONE’s.
All Night by Astro vs. All Night by SNSD
All Night by SNSD is probably my favorite Girl’s Generation song, so it easily wins this round.
Dynamite by Vixx vs. Dynamite by BTS
BTS is my ult group, so nine out of ten times they’d win a match up. This choice was a little more difficult to decide, mainly trying to determine if I enjoyed Vixx’s as much or more as BTS’. In the end I’m saving BTS’.
Boy by Treasure vs. Boy by The Boyz
Boy is my favorite Treasure song and one of the few choreographies that really wowed me. Like with All In, I’m more likely to listen to Treasure’s over The Boyz’s. So Treasure wins the save.
Psycho by Red Velvet vs. Psycho by Baekhyun
This one was hard. This was my first time hearing Baekhyun’s Psycho and it really is right in my taste. But so is Red Velvet’s which is genuinely iconic. So I’m saving Red Velvet’s for it’s iconic status, as well as the fact that Baekhyun has other great and iconic songs.
Senorita by (G)I-DLE vs. Senorita by VAV
I’m not really a fan of (G)I-DLE’s Senorita, so even though VAV’s isn’t as musically interesting, I’ll be saving their Senorita.
One by Astro vs. One by Golden Child
One by Golden Child felt like it was missing something to take it from good to great. And of these two songs, Astro’s was the one already on my master playlist, so it wins this round.
Beautiful by Wanna One vs. Beautiful by Monsta X
I find Wanna One’s boring to be honest, so I’m saving Monsta X’s Beautiful.
Move by X1 vs. Move by Taemin
Move by Taemin is iconic and would honestly be a travesty to not save. I do enjoy X1’s, and since they only got six songs it does make me want to save it. But since I think Flash is a better X1 song, I’ll save Taemin’s epochal track.
Without You by Golden Child vs. Without You by NCT U
I lean towards the more upbeat of the two, which is NCT’s version. Golden Child’s has some interesting elements and an earworm of a chorus, but I’m saving NCT’s personally.
MAMA by EXO-K vs. MAMA by BTS J-Hope
Exo’s is so dramatic and definitely feels like a product of its time. J-Hope’s Mama isn’t my favorite song of his, but I do enjoy it more. So BTS wins another round.
Boom by NCT Dream vs. Boom by NCT 127
So no matter what, NCT wins this round. But between the two sub-units, I’m keeping Dream’s Boom around. I honestly zoned out listening to 127’s, and Dream’s is already on my master playlist.
DDD by Exid vs. DDD by The Boyz
While I like parts of Exid’s DDD, I enjoy all of The Boyz’s. So I’ll be saving the boy group’s DDD this round.
Red Moon by Kard vs. Red Moon by Kim Wooseok
These songs have such different vibes, and I like both. So my logic for which to save is probably odd, but I think Kim Wooseok’s fits the title Red Moon better. I honestly don’t really get why Kard titled the song Red Moon. So I’m saving the soloist this round.
Which songs would you save? Let me know in the comments.
