MinaLima are the graphic designers behind the wizarding world, having designed everything from The Daily Prophet to the Marauder’s Map and so much more. They have a gallery and shop that anyone can visit, and I did just that.
Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima are the duo behind all of the graphic design in the Harry Potter franchise, so you’ll have definitely seen their work if you have seen anything from the films or theme parks. It’s genuinely fascinating to see how much impact they have made on visually creating the wizarding world.
In the gallery portion, you can find screen used items as well as replicas and drawings of their work. The first thing you see is the Marauder’s Map that is depicted on the floor, followed by a full wall of Daily Prophet papers that are sure to be recognizable. You can then find art on the walls displaying their work, from Dumbledore’s Will, to the school crests of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, to chocolate frog cards and other packaging of magical items. Honestly there is so much design work on display that you could spend hours looking around the small space.

There are also cases that display replicas and screen used items, and these were the really treasures to see in my opinion. You can see Harry’s Hogwarts letter, and also get your own from the shop. There is one large case with so many interesting items like Tom Riddle’s Memory Vials, the actual Marauder’s Map, various textbooks, and much more.
Going to the House of MinaLima was actually a spontaneous addition to our trip after other plans fell through, and honestly I think that is for the better. The gallery was fascinating to go through, especially for a graphic design nerd like myself, and the shop had such special items that you likely can’t get anywhere else. I definitely bought the most souvenirs from this place, both for myself and as gifts. I’d happily go back to explore the gallery more and look more closely at everything.
