NaNoWriMo Announcement

I have decided to participate in NaNoWriMo this year and will document my journey of writing a 50,000-word novel in one month!

I actually struggled to choose an idea for this, going back and forth between two different premises until deciding on neither of them and doing a third idea. Let’s talk about the chosen idea, called Heartsong.

Summary

Every person has a heart song that can only be heard by their soulmate. As kids, Kade didn’t understand why he heard the same song every time he was with Christian until the latter left and he never heard the song again.

Years later, Kade is hired to photograph a charity concert and for the first time in over a decade, he hears Christian’s heart song when the now-singer takes the stage to perform. He doesn’t want to lose Christian again, but Kade doesn’t know how he’s supposed to get close to the singer who likely doesn’t remember him.

Inspiration

My main inspiration is music actually, specifically two songs by the BTS members Jimin and Jungkook., which are Jimin’s Serendipity and Jungkook’s Euphoria. I also wanted to take on the soulmate troupe, specifically the red thread belief, but using music as the thread.
