Title tracks are the most talked about songs, but what about the amazing b-sides? This is why I am talking about my favorite girl group b-sides so you can find new tracks to enjoy.
Luv U by (G)I-DLE
Luv U is more experimental, which is often hit or miss. And I found Luv U to be a hit. And it holds its own on the album next to Oh My God and Lion.
SHOOT! by Itzy
Itzy is one of the groups that took me a while to find songs I really liked and didn’t get tired of quickly. Loco was the first title song, and SHOOT! was the first b-side. And now SHOOT! is on my most repeated songs playlist.
Hell In Heaven by TWICE
Hell in Heaven was the first Twice song that made me want to listen to more of Twice. I knew the most popular songs already, but this one is more unique and is like a hidden gem for me.
MVSK by Kep1er
While Wa Da Da got old really quickly for me, MVSK has yet to do so and I think it is a better song than Wa Da Da overall. I even included it on my list of songs that could have been title tracks.
Dahlia by (G)I-DLE
Dahlia is another song I would call a hidden gem. It is different from most of (G)I-DLE’s discography which shows they have a wider range than what most people hear. It is a really lovely song that is up among my favorites of all songs.
Period by Purple Kiss
I’ve shared my feelings for this song before, but I had to include it in this list because it is the pinnacle of favorite b-sides for me. Period is so different from Purple Kiss’ concept and it highlights the amazing vocals they have. I can’t explain how amazing this song is, so you just have to listen to it.
Cruel by Twice
Twice’s album Formula of Love: O+T=<3 has a few b-sides I really like, including Cruel. I went with Cruel as my favorite because I really enjoy the more relaxed pop vibe it has. Other songs that were close to being picked are Icon and Espresso.
My Bag by (G)I-DLE
This song is just so addicting. It isn’t the most brilliant song ever, but I can’t help but enjoy it every time it comes on. I can’t even explain why I enjoy My Bag, but my best guess is just the overall vibe it has.
