Today is Ravenclaw Pride Day! And to celebrate my house (aka the best house), I want to talk about why I love being a Ravenclaw.
Ravenclaws prize wit, learning, and wisdom. It’s an ethos etched into founder Rowena Ravenclaw diadem: ‘wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure’
The love of wit and knowledge is so welcoming to me as a Ravenclaw. I value wit and intelligence and learning very much, so being a Ravenclaw is comforting for that side of me.
“Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you’ve a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind”THE SORTING HAT
It’s the house of Luna Lovegood, who is one of the most underrated characters in the series. I can’t say that I paid a lot of attention to Luna when I first read the books. But now I have grown an appreciation.
We are an eccentric group of people. We embrace our uniqueness in so many ways, and that is quite comforting in our world. We also are free to speak our minds as we please, which I already do at abandon.
What do you love about your house? Share with a comment below.

Ravenclaw pride! I was going to wear a scarf I made for the occasion, but forgot how cold it was supposed to be.
