30 Day Geek Out Challenge: Day 9

We’re talking anime today for the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge, but will I talk about Attack on Titan for a third time today?

Just as a reminder, the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge is all about what makes you geeky, from fandoms to hobbies, favorite characters and more. I’m going to do this challenge along with my regular schedule of posts, so there will be tons of content from me this month! Thanks to Megan at A Geeky Gal for creating this!

Today’s question is: Favorite anime (or anime series)?

I swear Megan is trying to enable me to talk about Attack on Titan again, but I’m not going to do it! Because I thought of a different anime to talk about and that is…

kiki's

Kiki’s Delivery Service! I decided to go the Studio Ghibli route for this one and Kiki’s is definitely my current favorite. I’ve loved Kiki’s since childhood so it’s been in my life for a very long time and I’ve cherished it. And as an adult, I definitely connect with the story a lot more. It’s not just a coming of age story, but also takes a look at mental health, depression, and burn out.

Honestly, every Studio Ghibli film is a masterpiece to be cherished and adored. And I definitely need to watch more of them. But I think Kiki’s Delivery Service will always have that special place in my heart.

Also, you can’t go wrong with a sarcastic cat. Jiji is definitely one of my favorite fictional cats of all time.

If you want to read more about someone’s favorite anime who actually knows way more about anime then I do, go read A Geeky Gal’s post.
