We’ve reached double digits for the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge and I’m sharing my favorite movie of all time!
Just as a reminder, the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge is all about what makes you geeky, from fandoms to hobbies, favorite characters and more. I’m going to do this challenge along with my regular schedule of posts, so there will be tons of content from me this month! Thanks to Megan at A Geeky Gal for creating this!
Today’s question is: Favorite movie (or movie series)?
I used to struggle with this question because I am not a big movie watcher so I don’t actually watch movies very often. But I recently watched this movie again and I remembered how brilliant it is. And that movie is Clue.
For those who don’t know, Clue is indeed based on the board game. The 6 colorful characters are invited to a mansion to unwittingly confront their blackmailer. This leads to murder, pandemonium, and a whole lot of hilarity.
This movie is so, so funny. It is very intelligently written and acted, because of the ridiculous moments is taken so seriously by the characters that it becomes even funnier. This is that movie that I quote all of the time and is always so fun to watch. Also, the cast is incredible with Tim Curry, Martin Mull, Christopher Lloyd, and Eileen Brennan to name a few.
The movie in its entirety is amazing and it is hard to explain how great it is honestly. You have to see it to understand. It is currently free to watch with Amazon Prime, in case you need extra motivation. To sum it up in a few words, Clue is wacky, hilarious, chaotic, smart, and fun. You’ll die from laughter…. or maybe the candlestick.
