With a new year on the horizon, it’s time for resolutions for what you want to accomplish during the next 365 days. For me, I decided to pick some nerdier things to strive for, and here are those resolutions.
Watch all of Miyazaki’s Ghibli Films
I have kept telling myself I need to watch more Ghibli films because I know they are fabulous. So I am sticking to it this time, but focusing on the ones that Hayao Miyazaki was a significant person for, be it producer, writer, or director. That is 13 films currently, with a 14th being in progress right now with no confirmed release date yet. So one Ghibli a month with an extra doesn’t sound too bad.

Read at least four of RM’s Recommended Books
The leader of BTS is known to be an avid reader and his recommended books have been listed numerous times. I’ve compared a few and made a list myself, and will be choosing some to read during the year. Since I’m not the quickest reader I’ve decided that four is the most doable. That would be one every three months and the options range from essays to novels to poetry and more, and I’ve already found a few I’m interested in.
Watch every Disney Animated Feature Film
This one is the real doozy. For this I’m not counting sequels, so no Frozen 2, and no Pixar. I’m going strictly with Walt Disney Animations that are fully animated and even under these parameters, I have 55 films (56 if you count the upcoming Strange Worlds) to see. So that is at least one movie a week and then some.

Those are some good, if challenging, goals! For this year, I just want to get back into reading the big fantasy books, like the Wheel of Time novels and trying to work through my gaming backlog.
Ooh the backlog. That is a mighty task!
