Today is BTS’ 9th anniversary so to celebrate, I’m revisiting the BTS ARMY tag!

When did you discover BTS?
June 26th, 2019, but the start of me listening to them intentionally was November 20th, 2019. And I actually got really into BTS on June 14th, 2020 where I basically spent the whole day going through their music, videos, etc.
What song did you hear first?
I actually have an app that has my whole Spotify history and thanks to it I found out that the first song I’ve been saying is wrong! My first BTS song was Dream Glow, which is from the BTS World soundtrack and is a collaboration with Zara Larson. And the first BTS song that is only them is Heartbeat, also from the BTS World soundtrack.
What song made you a fan?
Right after discovering them, I listened to Make It Right a lot. But I would actually say that the song that made me a fan and wanted to dig deeper is Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix). Because after listening to that is when I started listening to more than just Make It Right and found songs like IDOL, Euphoria, and Fake Love.
Who was your first bias?
RM, thanks to the Carpool Karaoke interview which was also a catalyst for digging deeper into the group.

Who is your current bias?
It’s impossible to pick one so I say OT7 because, without even one of them, we wouldn’t have BTS. Namjoon will always have that special spot in my heart though so when I actually pick one, it is still him.
Who is your bias wrecker?
Jimin, Jungkook, and Yoongi are on rotation.
What are your top 5 favorite songs?
- Blood Sweat & Tears
- Black Swan
- Serendipity
- Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)
- Make It Right (but like ten different songs could have gone here honestly)
What song have you listened to the most?
Serendipity. Perfect song to relax and chill with.
What is your favorite solo song?
Serendipity. I adore this song truly.
What is your favorite album?
Aesthetically it is Wings, which also has a few of my favorite songs. Music only though it is Love Yourself: Answer.
What is your favorite music video?
Blood Sweat and Tears. It’s visually stunning and so referential to the source material that inspired that whole album. I also think it is the first true deviation in their concept style.
What is your favorite choreography?
One of the first things that made me really impressed with BTS was their choreography, so choosing one favorite is a little hard. Blood Sweat & Tears’ is iconic, and so is Fake Love. Fire’s choreography is so impressive because it is so difficult. IDOL has unique choreography that is worth noting. So yeah, too hard to choose.

What is your favorite lyric?
This is really hard to choose to be honest. Instead of choosing a single lyric, I’m choosing a song that has lyrics I love which is Promise by Jimin. When I learned that Jimin wrote it as if you are talking to yourself, it really stuck with me.
Who is your favorite vocalist?
I really like Jimin’s voice personally. They are all really great from a technical standpoint, but Jimin’s is just special.
Who is your favorite rapper?
Suga/Agust D. Yeah I’m listing Yoongi as both. His skill is so impressive and lyrically a genius.

Who is your favorite dancer?
Jimin. Since I did ballet for more than a decade when younger, I definitely have a preference for his contemporary style. He wows me all of the time.
Also, every member can dance and I will argue with anyone who says otherwise.
What is your favorite BTS era?
Wings. I just really love the aesthetic they had for that.
What is your favorite performance?
The Black Swan performance from Permission to Dance tour. Especially the beginning with the camera revolving and perfectly timed moments. It’s so stunning and I am still obsessed.
Honorable mention to the 2016 MAMA performance with Jimin blindfolded and mirroring Hoseok, the Jimmy Fallon Black Swan performance, and the 2019 MMA Dionysus performance with all the individual intros.
What is your favorite side project? (ie Run BTS, BT21, TinyTan, BU, etc.)
I’m a little obsessed with the Bangtan Universe (BU). It’s the one side project I pay the most attention to.

Have you seen them in concert?
I’ve only been able to watch the live stream of Soowoozoo and Permission to Dance.
