I’m back from my over-the-pond trip to the United Kingdom and have so much to share, so let’s recap it all!

Sights
The philosophy behind seeing sights for this trip was primarily “If we’re near and it’s free, might as well.” We didn’t go to London to see Buckingham Palace or Big Ben, but if we were in the area and had a moment, we’d go take a look. And we actually saw quite a few famous sites such as Big Ben, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, and Covent Garden. We also came across interesting public art amongst all of the history.

Eats
I’m not a foodie necessarily, but we did have some great food while in London. We had to have the classic Fish and Chips, and we had some great breakfast at a spot in Soho called The Breakfast Club. We also enjoyed a Cream Tea which scones and cakes. All in all, good food was had.
Theater
The whole point of this trip was to see a bunch of theater, and that we did! I’m going to be covering every show in its own post as they deserve. We saw four shows in total and actually only one was a musical, which is what I normally go and see.

Museums
We went to three museum-like places. First was The National Gallery, the home of many great paintings including works by Van Gogh and Monet. For the most part the majority of the paintings were so similar in style that they blended together, but some did stand out as favorites for me.
We also went to The British Museum which has it’s fair share of highlights, including the Rosetta Stone. My personal favorite exhibits were of Japan, Korea, and the Prints and Drawings.
A last minute addition to the trip was visiting the House of MinaLima, which is home of the graphic design duo behind the Wizarding World. It is a gallery and shop that is open to the public, and you can see screen used props that feature their designs. I’ll be writing a post just for them as well.

Overall my trip to London was just as pleasant as I had hoped, filled with culture and leisure. I’m looking forward to sharing more about specific excursions and I hope you’ll keep an eye out for those posts.
Glad you had fun!
