Agust D, also known as Suga from the globally famous band BTS, held his LA stops of his tour this last weekend. I was lucky enough to see him and I am sharing my experience with you all.
This concert was highly anticipated by my friend and I since we are both big BTS and Agust D fans. And he did not disappoint at all. This experience was so uniquely Yoongi (Agust D’s real name), from the visuals to the setlist to the overall energy of the place. Time honestly flew by and I could have stayed another hour enjoying his killer performance and musical genius.

His setlist was phenomenal, starting off with his most powerful and well-known tracks like Haegeum, Daechwita, and Agust D. He wanted us to get hyped and it worked. Following that with an acoustic rendition of Seesaw where he played guitar as well was a nice change that still felt so authentically him. It was also a nice transition into the calmer tracks SDL, People, and People pt. 2. My favorite part of the setlist was probably the BTS medley where he included his rap verses from various BTS rapline tracks like UGH, Ddaeng, and Cyphers 3 and 4. That made for a great transition into HUH?! from his most recent album. Then he blessed us with piano playing Life Goes On, transitioning into his more emotional tracks Snooze and Amygdala. He finished with an encore including D-Day and Intro: Never Mind.
Agust D really is an impressive performer. I can’t imagine how exhausting rapping, sometimes non-stop for ten minutes, is but he didn’t fatigue at all. He really is a master at his craft. The staging was equally impressive, with the stage deconstructing throughout the night, flames and sparks going off as lights changed in sync with the music, lightsticks included. Seeing the lightsticks sync was especially cool and makes you feel like part of the show.

Overall, Agust D in LA was a fantastic show. It really was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will look back on fondly and wish I could witness again.
