I spend a lot of time watching music videos from tons of K-pop artists, which led me to come up with this tag idea!
A Music Video for a Title Track
One of the best title tracks by any group ever (in my opinion) is Love Killa by Monsta X. I love this song, the video is great, and the entire album is killer.
A Music Video for a B-side
One of my favorite b-sides of all time is Magic by Tomorrow x Together, so it made an easy choice for this prompt.
A Music Video for a Soloist
There is something so magical about Underwater by Kwon Eunbi. It’s such a good song that isn’t talked about enough.
A Music Video for a Girl Group
So many groups to choose from, but one of my favorites had to be chosen. Thus, I picked Mascara by XG for this prompt.
A Music Video for a Boy Group
I wanted to make sure I shared a variety of groups which is what led me to choose P1Harmony’s Do It Like This for this prompt. It’s one of my favorite songs by them.
A Music Video for a Subunit
I had to share this amazing song Who by Astro Moonbin&Sanha and I am so sad that we won’t get to hear Moonbin sing again.
A Dark Music Video
I love dark music videos so I had plenty of options to choose from. One of my favorites is Cruel by Jackson Wang. It’s so epic and smartly choreographed, truly a cinematic experience.
A Bright Music Video
I normally don’t gravitate toward bright videos, but one I knew that worked for this prompt for sure is Yet to Come by BTS.
A Colorful Music Video
Fancy by Twice is one of the most colorful music videos I have ever seen, so it was an easy choice for this prompt. Between the backgrounds and outfits, it is a kaleidoscope of color.
A Monotone Music Video
It was actually kind of hard for me to find a monotone music video, but thankfully Crazy by 4Minute was an easy choice since it is primarily in black and white.
A Music Video with No Choreography
I enjoy watching choreography, but sometimes a video is best without it. And Youth by Kihyun is a good example of not needing any choreography and still being great.
A Music Video that Focuses on Choreography
Keep me up by B.I is such a good song and his videos tend to focus on the choreography, so it was easy for me to choose this one, but BTBT was a close second choice.
A Music Video Set in the Past
Kingdom has so many gorgeous music videos set in different time periods, so I knew I had to choose one of their songs for this. I chose Karma, which is set in ancient China.
A Music Video Set in the Future
Set in the future is both easy to find and hard to define. It kind of depends on what your definition of the future is, and I went with one that is very technologically influenced. So my choice is Killa by Mirae.
A Music Video Set in Space
Space is a popular destination for K-pop music videos, so choosing one isn’t too hard. I went with DaSH by BAE173 because it is one of the few videos that manages to not get lost in greenscreens.
A Music Video set on a Beach/By the Ocean
There are so many music videos set by the sand and sea, but a personal favorite of mine is Time Out by Stray Kids. A fun video for an upbeat song that is perfect to listen to on a beach day.
A Music Video Set in a City
I found this one a little hard to choose for since “in a city” is pretty vague. But I feel like Antifragile by Le Sserafim fits it well. It may be a city at the end of the world, but it is a city nonetheless.
A Music Video Set In A School
I’m normally not a big fan of the school concept, but I must say it works well here. Also, Tamed-Dashed by Enhypen is probably my favorite song by them.
Two Music Videos Filmed At The Same Location
I recently found out that BTS’ Black Swan and Kang Daniel’s 2U videos were both filmed at the Los Angeles Theatre. With such a beautiful location being used, I had to pick these two for this prompt.
A Music Video Featuring an Animal
Not only is an animal featured, but it is also the name of the song! Black Mamba by aespa features the snake of the same name, which can be seen slithering around in the video (a fake one in case that helps).
A Music Video Featuring A Fictional Creature
Zombies are so common in K-Pop videos, and of all the zombie-themed music videos out there I pick my favorite: Zombie by Purple Kiss
A Music Video for Each Generation (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th)
1st Gen: Dreams Come True by S.E.S
3rd Gen: Not That Type by gugudan
2nd Gen: View by SHINee
4th Gen: Kick It by NCT 127
A Music Video with Over 1 Million Views
A Music Video with Under 1 Million Views
I had to go with the iconic Gangnam Style by PSY since it was the song that took over the world in the 2010s. It’s also the first K-pop song I ever heard, long before I ever got into it.
I will be a one-woman promoter for this group until the end of time! Close Your Eyes by BZ-Boys is such a great song and needs more music video views and listens.
A Music Video from Your Favorite Artist
BTS will always be my first love, and Blood Sweat & Tears is my most loved song of theirs, so I had to choose it for this prompt.
Your Favorite Music Video
This was probably the hardest choice to make out of the whole list. There are some truly stunning music videos out there, but one that has really stuck with me as a favorite is Wild Flower by RM. It’s so gorgeous visually and pairs with the song so well.

A quibble:
Monotone refers to sounds that don’t vary in pitch, and generally refers to someone speaking.
Monochrome refers to a visual display of a single color, though often refers to black and white, essentially ignoring black as a color. And of course old “monochrome” computer monitors were often green or amber against a black background.
So tag #10 would more appropriately be monochrome, not monotone 😉
