Ateez is back with their latest album The World Ep.2: Outlaw, and I am so excited to listen to it and share my thoughts with you all.
This World
Ateez has a certain style when it comes to the first songs on their albums, and this definitely fits that style. It works as a good introduction to the rest of the album. As a standalone song, it is pretty good, but it is best listened to as the album intro.
Dune
I don’t know why, but I was waiting for something just a little more impactful to happen. It’s a solid song, but what I like most about Ateez is when they give us 110% with their songs. This just fell a little short for me personally.
BOUNCY (K-Hot Chilli Peppers)
This is a quintessential Ateez title track for sure. The chorus of this song is what gets me really into it. After the first listen I was ready to put it on repeat.
Django
This is one of the songs that I couldn’t help but vibe with while listening to it. It has an interesting beat that was easy to get into and enjoy.
Wake Up
This song is a good balance of what we love about Ateez and giving us a little bit of something different. You can tell from the first listen that this is Ateez, but it doesn’t sound like an exact repeat of anything else they’ve done. That is my favorite kind of song by them.
Outlaw
For a song called “Outlaw”, I anticipated something more Western or country-sounding, but I am so happy that isn’t the case. The chorus is probably my favorite part since it is different than what you’d expect. The bridge is also fun. Overall it is a solid song.
Overall Rating
Overall, this is a solid Ateez album with some great new tracks. It isn’t going to become my favorite album of theirs, but I would say it is a no-skip.
