Square Word, developed by CCS, is a relaxing word game with a summery-themed version in its summer edition.
In Square Word: Summer Edition Chill you discover words in a fun summer theme by solving the word puzzles provided. There are 140 new word spreads, 4 difficulty levels, and 4 different topics themed all about the warmest season. Topics include travel-related prompts and words, poolside themes, and different summer activities. The gameplay is very straightforward. You are given a set of letters and you will need to connect the letters to form words of specific letter-counts that fit the theme. You can get first-letter hints and full-word hints if needed, but these are limited resources.
If you have ever played the mobile game Wordscapes, Square Word is very similar. It is an easy game to learn and the difficulty does make an impact the more levels you play. Overall, it is a fairly relaxing word game and at a price of under $3, it is worth the money if you want something easy to play. I wouldn’t say it is the best word game I have ever played, but it does the job it sets out to do.
