Tiny Witch, developed by indie developer Creative Hands, is a game in which you are the little witch who is running your very own minion-making shop. How far can you take your little witch’s dream?
A copy of this game was provided for the purposes of this review.

In Tiny Witch, you are a little witch left in charge of a magic wizard store located in a town full of dungeon masters. Activate your spells, unlock new recipes, and prepare the best minions in time to avoid upsetting your customers.
During your open hours, you’ll receive various dungeon master clients who are in need of various minions. You’ll have to mix and match ingredients to get the right minions while your customers get more impatient or suffer the consequence of their anger as they can attack you while you work. As you gain experience, you’ll be able to expand your business to produce more minions faster. And as your humble shop transports into different worlds, your offerings, opportunities, and challenges all change.

Mechanically, Tiny Witch is very similar to counterparts like Overcooked. You’ll grab resources from once spot, move them to be processed, and then take the processed stuff to a crafting table to create the minion. Each minion has unique recipes that can change up the pattern with which you do things. And the ticking clock of your shift will pressure you to be faster and more efficient, thus making strategy an important factor.

The story of the game is rather simple, acting more like a framing device for the gameplay than being a wholly compelling entity itself. That isn’t a negative, as similar games are very much the same way. I really didn’t expect to have any kind of story so it was a nice touch of lore to have.
I am normally not a big fan of pixel art, but I have to say that it works really well in this game and looks pretty great too. It gives the game an extra bit of charm.

Overall, Tiny Witch is a charming simulation game that is perfect for the spooky season. It is overall a quick experience of four to five hours that is straightforward to learn and play with enough challenge to be compelling.
You can play Tiny Witch on PC.
