If you’re like me, you procrastinate on your halloween costume until the bitter end. It will be the night before and I will be throwing together a costume. But have no fear, because here are some ideas for quick, easy, and geeky halloween costumes.
Hermione Granger from Prisoner of Azkaban
Get yourself a time turner and a pink jacket and you’re pretty much good to go. It’s so simple and comfortable to be Hermione from Prisoner of Azkaban that there is really no reason not to do it when you need a quick and easy costume.
Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games)
Before she became a tribute, Katniss wore a simple brown leather jacket, black t-shirt, and boots. Find a toy bow and arrow set and a mockingjay pin and you’ll be good to go as the girl on fire.
Chell (from Portal 2)
Chell (from the video game Portal 2) is another simple costume, because it’s an orange pants/jumpsuit and a white tank top (preferably saying Aperture Science). If you can get your hands on a companion cube, bring it along!
Gogo (from Big Hero 6)
Looking for more of a cool girl, athletic costume? Gogo is a great one because of it’s layers of leggings and shorts, a white tee, sneakers, even a sweat band and fingerless gloves. Add a leather jacket and you’re good to go….go. (teehee)
Hiro (from Big Hero 6)
I didn’t forget the gents! Hiro is a more casual costume because it’s pretty much just converse, cargo shorts, and a hoodie. Carry around a robot, maybe a Baymax, and you’re set.
Clark Kent/ Superman
Want a classy look? Do the classic Clark kent with a Superman tee under a suit and some glasses. Want to take it up a notch? Pretend you have to transform expose the logo and run off, and change into a Superman costume. Boom, easy transformation.
Kiki (from Kiki’s Delivery Service)
Are you a Studio Ghibli fan? Become Kiki with a plain black dress, red flats and hair bow, and a broom. Get a little black cat plush to be Jiji and you’re ready to be a fine witch.
