That’s Just A Theory

One of my guilty pleasures is watching gaming channels on Youtube, but I have taken a special interest in The Game Theorists, but in particular the show Game Theory itself.

Game Theory is fairly self-explanatory. It is a show where Matthew Patrick, more commonly known as MatPat, analyzes various aspects of video games and theorizes the reasons or accuracy of scenarios or aspects of the games. I, someone who is in no means a video gamer, find the theories fascinating. But I want to highlight my favorite theories here.

Are Grand Theft Auto Cops Racist?

A hot topic based on whats been going on in the real world, but equally as interesting in such a controversial game.

Are Smite’s Goddesses Too Sexy?

In case you don’t know, I take a huge interest in feminism and women’s issues. This video takes a fascinating look at the need for hypersexualization of women in video games.

Portal’s Companion Cube Secret

In case you didn’t know already, the image in my logo for this blog is that of a girl and her companion cube. Yes, it is geeky, but also has a dark secret.

Toad’s Deadly Secret

I would be doing an injustice if I neglected to share one of the many Mario videos in this post. But instead of on the leading man, I went with the lovable sidekick, but will you still love him after this video?

The Lore of Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash, the ultimate fighting game with all of your favorite Nintendo characters battling for glory, but the story of the games and the meaning they hold my surprise you.

There are many more theories on The Game Theorists channel, including Assassin’s Creed, Five Night’s at Freddy’s, and more Nintendo. Even if you think the theories are a bit far fetched, you should still go and subscribe.

But Hey, that’s just a theory.
