The Backlog Tag

Back with another tag, but this time it is of my own creation! Us geeks always have a backlog of things we want to watch, read, or play. So let’s talk about my backlog.

In case you don’t know, a backlog is “an accumulation of something, especially uncompleted work or matters that need to be dealt with”. For us geeks, backlogs are most often associated with accumulations of media we haven’t consumed, especially video games. Alright on with the tag.

A Video Game in your backlog

I have a ton of games in my backlog right now. I haven’t played a game in a long while to be honest. One of note is Ori and the Blind Forest. I’ve actively avoided content about the game because I do want to play it.

A Book in your backlog

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. I started it and got through the first couple chapters and then life happened and it is back on the TBR.

A Movie in your backlog

I very rarely watch movies or have any interest in watching movies, to be honest. One I can definitely say is on the backlog is Spirited Away. I need to see more Ghibli’s in general, but Spirited Away is number one on that list.

A TV Show in your backlog

I have had Good Omens recommended to me so that is probably the only backlogged show on my mind. I’m also not a huge TV watcher so really not that well informed of new shows.

A Blog Post in your backlog

I have a couple of various tags and tag ideas in my drafts folder that have been hanging out for a while. I also have a board game review that needs to get soon. I don’t tend to keep my post ideas in my drafts but on my calendar.

Bonus Backlog!

A Board Game in your backlog

I’ve got a decent collection of board games and many have been unplayed. I recently bought a game called Ramen Fury that is at the forefront of my backlog right now.

Want to do this tag? Here are the prompts!

  1. A Video Game in your backlog
  2. A Book in your backlog
  3. A Movie in your backlog
  4. A TV Show in your backlog
  5. A Blog Post in your backlog

And for fun, you can add the bonus backlog to your post if you choose, or change it to something more relevant to you!

  1. Ori and the Blind Forest is phenomenal! I wasn’t sure if it would be for me as I’m not a huge platformer or metroidvania person, but I fell in love. It is pretty difficult, though, at least for a newbie to the genre.
