Zodiac, to me, is a fun thing to look into and maybe get some momentary insight. I don’t take it super seriously myself, but I thought it would be a fun post idea to recommend games based on your zodiac.

So I am pulling the personality descriptions from Horoscope.com. Mainly for clarities sake, since there may be discrepancies between other descriptions out there. Also, I am no expert in the zodiac at all, so take what I say with that in mind.
Aries
March 21st – April 19th
You’re the most courageous and ambitious sign, the leader of every pack.
Your determination is unmatched when it comes to getting what you want.
You work hard but also play hard—you’re the life of every party!
You’re easygoing and enjoy the company of all kinds of people.
You’re impulsive. Sure, sometimes acting first and thinking later is risky, but more often than not, it leads to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The biggest thing I take from the Aries description is their competitive natures, their desire to win, and their trailblazing nature. I immediately thought of first-person shooter team games, like Overwatch and Rainbow Six: Siege. These highly competitive games are great for that side of Aries, and working in a team gives them a leadership opportunity.
Taurus
April 20th – May 20th
Persistent and hardworking, once a Taurus sets a goal, it will get done—despite any obstacles that may come up. While becoming friends with a Taurus can be tough since they’re so particular about who they want in their social circle, once you’re in, you’re in for life. Taurus doesn’t get pulled down by gossip or petty drama. They’ll always see the best in their loved ones and buoy them up when they’re feeling down.
The persistent, hard-working, and smart Taurus can thrive playing survival strategy games, like Frostpunk or They Are Billions. These types of games require persistence and smarts to get through all the difficult situations that could lead to failure.
Gemini
May 21st – June 20th
Gemini is intelligent, quick-witted and can read a room or situation in an almost supernatural way. Without saying very many words, a Gemini soon knows who has an agenda, who’s a good ally, and who may need someone to bolster them up. Because of this, Gemini is an amazing friend, leader, and person everyone should be lucky to have in their lives. Equipped with almost uncanny emotional intelligence, Gemini can easily read a room and know exactly what other people want to hear from them.
The great thing about Geminis is they can play a lot of different games depending on mood because they are versatile and a chameleon amongst the zodiac. However, their ability to read a room (or a game), think ahead, and adapt makes them great for turn-based strategy games. Since I am a Gemini, I’m going to recommend my favorite turn-based strategy game, Armello. Other games that work are the Sid Meier’s Civilization series and XCOM 2.
Cancer
June 21st – July 22nd
With off-the-charts emotional intelligence, Cancer quickly cuts through the BS and noise to the heart of an issue. Crabs don’t need all the facts and figures to know the right course of action, and their ability to trust intuition without judgment can aid them well. This gift is one that other Zodiac signs can learn from and be inspired by.
Cancer was kind of hard to pinpoint a genre for me. I lean towards platformers and puzzle-based games, as you trust your intuition to solve the situation. Portal can be a good option. Human: Fall Flat is good for the Cancers who do follow the not needing all of the information to take action since there is no story to follow in that game.

Leo
July 23th – August 22nd
Bold, intelligent, warm, and courageous, fire sign Leo is a natural leader of the Zodiac, ready to blaze a trail, vanquish injustice, and make a name for themselves along the way. Blessed with high self-esteem, Lions know that they possess enviable traits—and they’re proud of them. They don’t believe in false modesty and will be the first to praise themselves for a job well done. But Leo isn’t self-aggrandizing or unwilling to roll up those sleeves and do the work: this sign knows that in order to be respected and admired, he or she needs to put in the effort worthy of a leader.
Leo’s are also fit for those first-person shooter’s. They’d definitely strive for Play of the Game in Overwatch but also prides themselves on leading the team to victory. Battle Royale’s are also good for Leos because they will put in the hard work to then be the last one standing at the end. Give Ring of Elysium a go if you’re a Leo wanting to give BR’s a taste.
Virgo
August 23rd – September 22nd
Graceful, harmonious, and obsessed with making things the very best they can be, Virgo is notorious for being type A but that’s only because this sign knows that everything good can be made great, and that everything great can be perfect. Smart and intensely curious, Virgos are passionate about uncovering the why which is why a Virgo’s friends consider him or her their own personal encyclopedia. Known for their grace, Virgos can always talk their way out of sticky situations, and everyone is charmed by their wit and ability to put others at ease.
Virgo’s desire to make things as close to perfect as perfect can be works out with tycoon and city builder games. Being able to build a pristine and perfect theme park with Planet Coaster or the most excellent and efficient city in City: Skylines are great choices for this sign.
Libra
September 23rd – October 22nd
Libra’s everyday vibe is this gentle reminder: “Let’s just all get along.” For this sign, compromise is key. Librans don’t do well when anyone in their orbit isn’t happy, and they’re especially adept at inviting other signs to see things from a different perspective. A Libra doesn’t strong arm or use coercion, but rather relies on his or her communication prowess to help everyone see another side to a story.
Libra’s desire to work together and create collaboration is great for co-op and team-focused games. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Overcooked are good options in the co-op realm of games to try.
Libra’s are also incredibly creative, so city builders are also a good option. While their creations won’t be as perfect as a Virgo’s, they will definitely have fun building their dream theme park, aquarium, or city. Planet Coaster is a great option and so is Megaquarium.
Scorpio
October 21st – November 21
So many other signs spend valuable time and energy beating around the bush, desperately trying to find an approach that makes the fewest waves when it comes to confronting a conflict. Not Scorpio. Blessed with a deep sense of self, Scorpio is always able to say exactly what’s on their mind, even if it’s not what people want to hear. Scorpio is forthright and honest, and those two characteristics commandeer a ton of respect, both at home and at work.
Not gonna lie, Scorpio is kind of hard for me to place a genre on. Action is definitely where I would go with a Scorpio because Scorpio’s are not going to beat around the bush and just dive in. The action window is huge, with everything from Grand Theft Auto V to Skyrim. I think the ability to run their character however they want is an appealing option for Scorpios.
Sagittarius
November 22nd – December 21st
Sagittarius is adept at blazing their own paths, and can always go it alone. Sagittarius doesn’t need a roadmap, and can easily conceptualize ideas and opportunities that others may not easily “see.” Sagittarius doesn’t need permission or approval, and has a strong sense of self that allows them to always feel sure-footed, even where others may be unsure or insecure.
Two words: Open World. Being able to do as you please with your character is definitely appealing to Sagittarius. Skyrim is a popular option for open world, Horizon Zero Dawn and the Fallout series following along the same lines. Even Minecraft is an option, as there is tons of options with what you do in your world.
Capricorn
December 22nd – January 19th
Capricorn is intelligent, detail-oriented, and will not take no for an answer when they want something. Their hard working attitude is an inspiration to all, and they truly believe they can achieve anything with hard work. Capricorn is always ready to learn new skills, and sees something they don’t know—like changing a tire or boiling the perfect egg—as a challenge they must undertake. This attitude makes them a master of all trades, and they have esoteric knowledge that is impressive to all who know them.
Capricorn’s tenacity and desire to learn new things makes simulation a good option for games. It gives them the ability to try new things they may never be able to do otherwise. You can own and run a farm in Stardew Valley, survive the zombie apocalypse in DayZ, or try one of the many different driving sims from semi-trucks to trains to planes.
Aquarius
January 20th – February 18th
Aquarius is intellectual and analytical, but don’t mistake these attributes for aloofness. Aquarians have deep passion, but they know jumping into something too quickly can cause more harm than good. Aquarians are often big-picture thinkers who can see connections in a way that eludes others. Aquarians have energy, warmth, and a deep desire to get things done. They feel they’re on the planet to change the world and they will do so. Aquarians are idealistic, and will never accept “good enough” until they truly believe it’s good enough.
The analytical nature and big thinking nature makes games where the choices matter a good fit for Aquarius. This is another broader genre, with more niche option being visual novels. On the visual novel side, I recommend Arcade Spirits. If you want more action-adventure, Detroit: Become Human is an option.
Pisces
February 19th – March 20th
Pisces may seem quiet but they are incredibly strong and have a very strong sense of right and wrong. Their moral compass, along with their gut, guides them well. When a Pisces speaks up, people listen. Pisces tend to take in everything around them, and they are great people to ask for advice on pretty much anything. While Pisces has strong convictions about the best way for them to live, they have a “live and let live” approach when it comes to others, and are accepting and nonjudgmental of all.
The nonjudgemental approach of Pisces really opens up any and all games to them. They will know what they like, but they aren’t opposed to trying something new. Their daydreaming and peaceful nature of Pisces leans away from the action and shooter games, and closer to the simulation and management style. Solo games are also good for Pisces because they are often alone to recalibrate and are rarely lonely when alone.
Leaning towards the solo, creative, daydreaming end of the spectrum, I’d suggest a game like Gris. Beautiful, imaginative, and thoughtful.
