Before March, and thus Women’s History Month, ends, I want to share some more games from women that you should play! This time it is all video games developed mostly or solely by women developers!
Before I Forget
Before I Forget is from 3-Fold Games, a indie game developer run by two women who make games with strong stories, exploring different perspectives. In Before I Forget, you explore the present to uncover the past, in a short story of love and loss and a life well-lived that examines a world where memories are constantly fading and jumbled.
Gray Matter
Gray Matter is a point-and-click adventure game written and designed by author and games designer Jane Jenson. In Gray Matter, Jensen tackles questions concerning the nature of reality and the power of the human mind in a mystery adventure that comprises 8 massive chapters. Jensen combines the elements of science and the supernatural, together with her acclaimed emphasis on character and story to create an unprecedented paranormal experience that will keep you riveted until the very end.
Find Me
Find Me is a beautiful and surreal 2D puzzle platformer about a lost shadow seeking to be reunited with her human girl, while searching for memories and avoiding the dangerous city lights. It was created by a group of middle to high school girls at the 2017 Girls Make Games Summer Camp.
Portal
Yes, that Portal!
the idea for Portal Portal started as a different game: Narbacular Drop. Kim Swift designed Narbacular Drop with help from fellow DigiPen graduates. So you can thank a woman for the truly iconic puzzle game!
Gravity Ghost
Gravity Ghost is a physics game with a twist. Run, jump, and soar around planets, using gravity to glide through the air. Explore a shattered galaxy and rescue its survivors, armed with powerups and mysterious terraforming powers. Erin Robinson is the indie video game developer behind Ivy Games, who brought us Gravity Ghost.
