The online Japanese store Sugoi Mart annually updates their lucky bags, which I reviewed last year. So for comparison, I am reviewing the 2022 version as well.

Sugoi Mart Lucky Bags are tote bags with an assortment of Japanese goodies. These goodies can include plushes, snacks, home goods, collectibles, and skincare. Each bag has around ten items, totally to $100 value, and every bag is different. What you get is really the luck of the draw and it is always an interesting mix.

Compared to my first lucky bag, I’d say this one is better because there are items that are closer to be own interests. For example, the Attack of Titan Eren plush is great since I am a fan of the anime. KitKats are my favorite candy so getting those is always a plus. Overall the likelihood I keep all of the things from this bag is high, as opposed to the previous which I gave to friends if I didn’t want to keep them. All of that is a testament to how it is all done to luck, as the name Lucky Bag implies.
The only thing that went wrong, and is not at all Sugoi Mart’s fault is that the KitKats melted and have morphed into a solid chunk of KitKat. I live in a desert so in this 100+ degree heat, it was inevitable and not something that could have been controlled. And even if in a big chunk, I’ll still eat it since it is KitKats.
Overall, I still recommend the Sugoi Mart Lucky Bags if you are interested in Japanese culture and characters. You get a nice variety of things and it is fun to be surprised by what you’ll get.
