With all the new songs we get every year from K-pop, there are a ton of spooky tracks perfect for the Halloween season. So I’m expanding my playlist with more spooky K-pop songs for Halloween, and what better day to do so than on an October Friday the 13th.
Ghost by DreamNote
If no other K-pop song makes it into your spooky song rotation, ensure this one does. From the very first note, it is the perfect mood setter for a Halloween playlist with its edgy rock sound and classic horror influences.
Villain by Pixy
Pixy’s discography has many great tracks for a spooky season playlist. I personally like Villain for something a little different from the heavy rock-influenced tracks. It still has a haunting quality and villains are a perfect theme for Halloween.
Maniac by Stray Kids
With references to classic monsters like Frankenstein, Maniac is perfect for your Hallow’s Eve playlists with its lyrics encouraging our individual oddness.
ICKY by KARD
This track is a bit creepy-sounding but in the best way. Halloween is the perfect time to get a little bit icky and creepy, right?
Psycho by Jun
Psycho has a haunting sound, the instrumental is definitely something you could hear in a horror movie as the monster stalks its prey.
Wormhole: New Track by n.SSign
This song has such a low-key, creepy sound. It makes me think of mysterious creatures prowling. Even the video has that Beetlejuice creepiness.
Sweet Juice by Purple Kiss
Purple Kiss has quite a few songs that fit the spooky theme, having started their discography with a darker concept. Sweet Juice is one of these songs, with a video about a haunted hotel, and a story of tempting sweet juice, almost like a potion. And as the lyrics say “It’s time to wake the sleeping madness in me.”
Cruel by Jackson Wang
The alluringly dark sound and visuals of this song make it perfect for a Halloween playlist. It’s edgy and intriguing, a bit dark and mysterious as well.
Undercover by Craxy
A song that’s first lyrics is “I feel like a monster. You’re scared of me.” is made to be on a darker-themed playlist. The edgy, hard-hitting verses with the mysterious-sounding chorus give us that eerie sound that’s perfect for the season.
Shadow by Taemin
Shadows are inherently mysterious as we never know what is lurking in the darkness. The dark and dramatic instrumental emphasizes the spine-chilling nature of the song. And with a haunting intro of “Shut the door and turn the lights off, it won’t disappear. Your memory of following behind me. Why do I tremble in the dark?” sets the tone for a haunting song.
Good Boy Gone Bad by Tomorrow X Together
Halloween is the season of trickery and ominous changes, so a good boy going bad fits the theme well. The rock influence adds to the intensity while the beat has some haunting moments as well.
Creature by E’LAST
“I’m a creature. Just run away. I’m a creature. You’re scared of me, right?” The lyrics allude to being some sort of spine-chilling creature, while the beat and melody support the mysterious vibes as well.
memeM by Purple Kiss
The eerie instrumental paired with haunting lyrics such as “I get in your head. You can’t get away from me. As if you’re under a spell,” make for a perfectly spooky song for All Hallows Eve.
Villain Dies by (G)I-DLE
There is something subtly sinister about this song that gets an extra layer of creepy with the music box sounds and the eerie strings in the chorus. A good, haunting song for a Halloween playlist.
Bewitched by Pixy
The title alone is already spooky, and the song just further supports the chilling and unearthly vibes. It’s very much giving witches enchanting you on All Hallows Eve.
Monster by SuperM
An edgy, spine-chilling track about a monster coming for you. It has a foreboding vibe and lyrically it speaks of beasts and monsters.
OOMM by 3YE
When frightened, you can feel like you’re out of your mind. OOMM, aka Out Of My Mind, is an eerie, hard-hitting song with a hushed chorus to build up the spooky feeling.
Danger by BTS
When you’re scared, you are usually in danger. Also, I’d be hard-pressed to not include BTS in any K-Pop playlist. But I do think that the edgier vibe of this particular track fits in with this eerie tracks to add variety but not lose the overall spookier theme.
You by Checkmate
This song’s instrumental is so mysterious and builds up to the chilling smoothness of the chorus so well. The lyrics have an alluring yet haunting energy that suits a spooky playlist well.
Spider by Hoshi
Speaking of mysterious and alluring songs, Spider is perfectly this. It’s like we are getting spun into this spider’s web of music.
Monster by Irene & Seulgi
A song titled Monster is basically made for a playlist like this. This particular one is sultry with a touch of sinister, making it a perfect addition to your Halloween playlist.
Paranoia by KangDaniel
A song about being paranoid is a perfect inclusion in a spooky playlist. The song has an eerie edginess that can definitely make your spine chill. And lyrically, it’s full of demons, nightmares, darkness, and fears. It is a must-have on your Halloween season playlists.
You can run, you can hide
But they always find
Spreading slowly in your heart
They live in the dark
