Music is great and can really make the things we love so much better. So I decided to share some of my favorite music across fandoms and other geeky things.
Video Game Score
Gris is easily my favorite music in any video game ever. It’s gorgeous and so beautiful and atmospheric. I always talk about the music while praising the game cause it is that good.
Movie Score
Goblet of Fire is my favorite score from a film. I wrote about it for one of the 30 Day Geek Out Challenge questions if you want to read the why in more detail, but basically I enjoy how it captures all of the different aspects that is the Triwizard Tournament.
Musical Album
I am torn between two for this one and I love them for different reasons. Hamilton has a special place in my heart for helping me get through tough times. Hadestown is incredibly well composed and written. It tells a gorgeous story with gorgeous music.
TV Show Theme Song
This is kind of a hard choice for me since I don’t watch a ton of TV anymore. The few that come to mind are Top Chef, Daria, and Hey Arnold. Those are mostly nostalgic in a sense, like hearing those songs reminds me of how much I enjoyed that show. I might also add in the intro song to the first season of Attack on Titan cause it is so epic.
Disney Soundtrack
After some deep thought, I have concluded that Beauty and the Beast is my favorite soundtrack. When looking at the entire film and all of its music, I think Beauty and the Beast does it the best. There isn’t a song I dislike or think shouldn’t belong.
Disney Song
I See The Light from Tangled is my all-time favorite Disney song. I remember getting teary listening to it while seeing the movie in theaters. It is such a wonderful love song and who wouldn’t want their love story to feel like that?

I keep hearing good things about Gris, I need to add it to my gaming list! I had never heard of Hadestown before a couple weeks ago and now it feels like I’m hearing about it everyday. I have a hard time picking out music favorites, but I think Buffy the Vampire Slayer probably has my favorite tv show theme.
oh yes DISNNNNEEEEYYYY. And You’ll be Back is my theme song ughhh. Also Princess Leia’s theme is just so pretty? And sad? And I’ll have to listen to Gris more often!
