Mental health and movies have a tempestuous relationship. Often times depictions are very inaccurate or stereotyped. But there are some films worth watching that portray mental health accurately and respectfully.
The Half of It is a new coming-of-age movie on Netflix about an introverted girl who helps a football player write love letters to his crush and the love story goes awry.
Knives Out is a new film from Rian Johnson about the mystery of a novelist’s death and the many motives of the people in his life. An inquisitive detective is anonymously hired to join the case which leads to a complex mystery full of secrets and comedy.
